Course Description

Bacteriology, sterilization, sanitation, safety, histology, dermatology and physiology of the skin. Includes structure and function of skin and glands, color and morphology.

Facials and non-permanent hair removal includes draping, manipulations, cleaning and toning.

Chemistry, light therapy and makeup. Includes methods and procedures and arching of the eyebrows.

Salon Development, Cosmetology Law

Rules and regulations, business administration and law, insurance professional ethics, record keeping, business telephone techniques, salesmanship, displays, and advertising, hygiene and public health.

Professionalism and shop management.

Completion of the course qualifies the graduate to take the Esthetician examination administered by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology.
